We all have our own stories of how we experienced awakening - for some, it’s gradual; for others, it comes as an “aha” moment.

I can count three major awakenings in my life so far.

My first awakening happened 15 years ago, in a big conference room during an intense discussion. Everything suddenly stopped. I had an out-of-body experience and heard a whisper in my ear:

“This is not your life. Your purpose is to touch people’s lives and inspire others. You need to retire from corporate on or before 40.”

At the age of 28, just establishing my professional identity - climbing the corporate ladder, chasing titles and material things - it was a lot to take, it shattered me.

My second awakening came through pain and suffering.Even before the pandemic, I was already burned out. The pandemic simply made me realize that I had become a victim of my own creation.

The third awakening happened during an Ayahuasca ceremony. I started to see chakras, auras, and even hear people’s thoughts. I began to download information - unlocking my psychic gifts and abilities.

While these experiences may sound extraordinary, I had undergone moments of darkness, anxiety, emotional roller coaster, and so on.

The Truth Behind Awakening That Nobody Prepared Me For

  • Waking up from the illusion can feel like being cheated. The things you’ve worked so hard for suddenly feel meaningless, and you begin to seek deeper truth.

  • Your identity starts to shatter. As you search for meaning, you begin to detach from who you once thought you were.

  • You get lost. When that identity fades, you lose your sense of direction - where do you go next?

  • You realize you’ve been carrying emotional baggage - social conditioning, emotional wounds, limiting beliefs, inner child wounds, and so on..

  • You do the inner work and healing, but as you go deeper, new layers appear. It feels like a never-ending process.

When Spiritual Growth Becomes a Trap

  • You keep working on yourself, but the more you heal, the more there is to uncover - it starts to feel endless.

  • The Confusion. You hear different teachings from different spiritual teachers and gurus - some consistent, others contradicting. What’s the truth?

  • As you progress, even the meaning you once sought can start to feel meaningless.

  • You begin to question - where does this spiritual journey end? Where does it actually lead?

The Reality

  • You still need money to survive - for food, shelter, and basic needs.

  • You still need to work to support yourself and your family.

  • You may decide to leave the matrix and start your own business - only to realize it’s not as easy as people claim.

  • You try to wake up others but first you need to help yourself before you can help others

My Realizations

  • Don’t get trapped in Spiritual Ego - just because you’ve done your inner work and healing make you better than others. True spirituality is seeing beyond every character and personality without judgment.

  • There’s a difference between being nice and having self-respect. Know when to be nice and know when to walk away as a sign of self-respect.

  • Life is designed with ups and downs - just like a heartbeat. The rise and fall are signs that you’re still alive.

  • Celebrate the highs and live them fully. But when life goes low, learn to manage your mind, emotions, and spirit.

  • What you feed yourself - not just food, but information heavily influences your reality. Be mindful of what you consume.

  • Meaning doesn’t have to be grand. You can create meaning in moments, and moments can be created daily.

  • Stop chasing answers; they’ve always been within you. When you silence the noise, especially in this age of social media, clarity arises naturally.

  • There is nothing wrong with you. You are not broken. You’re simply moving through the natural phases of life.

In my personal opinion, spirituality is navigating life with its ups and downs and learning to ride it with ease and peace, at your own pace, in your own definition…

What has been your experience with the spiritual journey so far?
