There's a common perception that working long hours yields more results, while working fewer hours signifies a lack of motivation.

There are ways to be productive without committing to long hours.

1. Prioritization – “To-do” list based on importance and urgency.

2. Peak hours - Manage your energy, not your time. Understand the time of day when you're at your peak performance - when you can be most productive and efficient in performing important and urgent tasks.

3. Declining unnecessary meetings - Only attend those where your presence and input are truly necessary.

4. Taking short breaks - Just like machines, humans have a production capacity. It's counterproductive to continuously work without a break as it can lead to errors or overlooked details – the mind and body need rest and recharge.

5. Plan your day - Live by your calendar, not your inbox. Focus on your set priorities for the day and limit distractions. Emails marked as "urgent" can sometimes easily throw off your focus. Silence notifications when you're working or trying to finish something important and urgent.
